I moved here from out of town, so I wasn't familiar with the area. I had 2 days to find an apartment. I wanted a location near restaurants, bars, and social life. Restaurants are 1-2 miles away. The community manager is unapproachable - always seems like you're bothering her; the focus is on getting new residents, not keeping current residents; the A/C in the gym has been out since I moved in (July 2024) - management is aware of the problem but says there's nothing they can do because it's under warranty; when I moved in I had to inquire about everything. It would've been nice to have a welcome packet describing where the trash chutes are, where card board boxes get placed for removal, how to use Latch, restaurants in the area, etc. The doors should be marked so that you can reorganize Latch and to know which doors you are using. Upon move in (which for me was over 30 days after my lease started due to a known delay) the apartment was dirty, paint and dry wall mud on the floor splatter on the floor, shades don't work properly, and the floors are scratched (I am the first resident). The washer and dryer wasn't connected. They also don't seem to have sufficient staff - the maintenance manager also cleans the pool and his assistant takes out communal trash. There are three public restrooms near the pool - two were unusable and unclean for over a week. Recently two have been locked for some unknown reason. The sign on the front of the building has lights out on the logo and "RE" - there was one other apartment I had looked at and didn't lease because they had lights out. My opinion is if management isn't concerned about their public facing signage, they won't be concerned about internal factors affecting residents. If I had it to do over again, I would've conducted my own apartment search and found one myself. I thought using a service (acknowledging the service was free to me) would've resulted in an apartment I was completely happy with. Unfortunately that isn't the case. Basically, I was provided access to a website, identified apartments based on price, and the person who assisted me created a route based on my selections. There wasn't a conversation about what I wanted or what was the best option for me. My recommendation to anyone who asks is to do their own search. I will not recommend this apartment to anyone. It looks nice in photos, but it isn't a community.
