I had a great experience this summer in the Buckingham. It was a perfect location in the South Loop for my job as well as having fun. A good restaurant or bar was never more than a brief walk away and we could easily take an Uber to any of the other neighborhoods or beaches. The building itself was fantastic and they had the best staff. They were always very kind and courteous and I loved seeing them every day. Rooms were spacious and modern and having access to the top-floor lounge and other amenities was a very nice perk.
What did you like most?
I liked the staff and the view the most. We were fortunate enough to live on the top floor and the thing I miss the most is the view. It is a great view overlooking the Buckingham fountain and Lake Michigan. You're just a brief walk from Soldier field and the Aquarium if you head South and Grant Park is straight ahead and then the beaches up North aren't too bad of a stroll either. Overall I miss the view from our living room the most and the friendly staff.

Ideal housing for summer interns. Of the 13 Chicago-based interns at my firm, 12 stayed at the Buckingham. If I were to do it all over again, I'd stay at The Buckingham again, no questions asked.
What did you like most?
Our room was maintained extremely well, fully furnished, and had an incredible lake view. In addition, the security staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
What did you like least?
The fitness facility didn't have much equipment, but aside from that, I wouldn't change a thing about the building.
