Overall, this is an amazing place to live. If you're not concerned with having the nicest of nicest finishes, there's not much this place doesn't have. I have a great view of the lake and park, have an indoor pool, and have great space and storage in my unit!

Great views and space in the unit

What did you like least?

I wish ithw gym wasn't in the basement

room is kind of dark - even with floor lamps, could be brighter. Also a 10-min walk to the Randolph station & 20+min walk to River North restaurants/ shops.

I really enjoy living at North Harbor Tower. The doormen are awesome! They're very good at their jobs and take their jobs seriously. They're also very kind and fun to talk to. The amenities are great! Many of the common areas are recently updated or in the process of being updated. Rent is expensive but it's worth it. The gym is awesome and yoga, pilates, Zumba, and water aerobics classes are free for residents. There's a Mariano's and a few restaurants/bars within a few blocks...and everything else in the Loop/River North a 15-20 minute walk away. It's amazing how quiet it can be even though it's close to the action. What do you like most: I love the location and the staff. Everyone is friendly. What do you like least: Sharing a laundry room...it has it's benefits as I can do all my laundry in 2 hours...but it's annoying sometimes. Some units do have in-unit laundry but mine does not.

Overall pretty smooth. The only issue I would bring up is the fact that the management office is very bureaucratic. They follow processes to the letter and make simple things more difficult than they have to be. For example, subleasing your apartment for the summer is a hassle.

Overall, fairly good. The price is great for this neighborhood. But there has been a lot of construction in the building these past two years, and a lot on my floor specifically which has really been a bummer. They worked on the elevators for 6 months or so, during which one out of the three elevators was down at any given time. This has created a lot of waits.

The doormen are great.

Construction. Trying to negotiate rent increases with management.

Apartments are roomy and were renovated recently. Building is old but well maintained. Like to have concrete walls that have better acoustic treatment than other buildings. Staff is super friendly and organizes several events (happy hours, food, costume competitions, ...)

North Harbor Tower was really convenient to my work. It also had really nice amenities. I was not a fan overall though.

What did you like most?

It was close to where I worked. I only had to walk about 10 minutes. Also, the amenities were excellent.

What did you like least?

The environment was weird. It was a lot of older professionals, many of whom were recently divorced.There was not much of a community feel. I often had to ride the red line to visit my friends on the North Side. I was pretty unhappy about my situation, so I ended up moving pretty quickly after arriving there.

Nice and safe neighborhood. Building maybe be old but very well maintained and management is very responsive. Doormen remember my name and are very friendly. Worth every penny.
