The best decision I’ve made was moving here. Recently adopted a dog and he went from a shy dog to a very open and loving dog. The dog park is one of the best I’ve seen in the city. Staff is super friendly and this has easily been the best decision I’ve made !

New utilities and an amazing view of the city

can get noisy due to construction nearby

Great! At the intersection of River North and Gold Coast. You got all the restaurants / bars of RN while being close to the shopping of Gold Coast.

What did you like most?

Friendly community - both other occupants and management

What did you like least?

Lack of updates to the units. Large building being erected to the South which would impede the view.

Really enjoyed living there but they made up crazy "move out damage" charges (1 scratch on the floor cost $175!).

What did you like most?

Amenities and quality of unit (everything is new and renovated and in great condition)

What did you like least?

The high cost of rent and the damage charges when we moved out.... floors get scratched - they need to get over that. They are probably charging everyone for that when they move out. Instead they should warn people in advance and recommend that they put rugs down.

Looks nice from the outside. Once you live here...not so much. Everything is shoddily built from the cabinets to the cheap paint they use. Walls are thin. Floors are thin. Management is fairly rude (though they do respond the most).

What did you like most?

Convenience of the neighbourhood. Within a few minutes walk from grocery stores, red line/brown line, bus stop etc. Covered parking in the building (though a hassle to get to). Washer/dryer in unit. 24/7 building maintenance if anything does go wrong.

What did you like least?

Pressure to re-sign a year long lease comes quickly (2 months before move-in). The guest suite that they mentioned when I moved in has gone up significantly in price and makes it unaffordable relative to hotels nearby. It was an amenity I had planned on using but have had to skip.

New and cery nice rooms, parking, deck, gym. Doormen are great, friendly, and helpful. Management is not friendly and not helpful usually, although there are exceptions.

What did you like most?

The room quality for the price is the best I've seen.

What did you like least?

The management and outside costs to use some of the building ammentities.

The management, front door staff, and maintenance crew are always very very courteous and friendly. If I ever needed something fixed (leaky toilet, broken washing machine), it was fixed promptly.

What did you like most?

The location of this building - it's far enough away from Michigan Ave that the streets aren't clogged with tourists, but close enough to be able to shop at my convenience. I also really love the in-unit washer/dryer, parking, and the private dog park, which my dog very much enjoys.

What did you like least?

Noise - hallway (especially Friday/Saturday nights), hearing neighbors through walls, sirens from street level.

Its really been great living at Chestnut Towers. Its an unbeatable location. I also enjoy the homely vibe they create - i look forward to seeing the doorman at the end of my day, always chit chat with management when I run into them and just an overall enjoyable living experience

What did you like most?

The non-hotel vibe of the luxury rental building. Most of them start feeling like a hotel and not a home e.g. Eugene Terrace

What did you like least?

Too many dogs! Its a very pet friendly building and we don't have a pet. It was never a problem / nuisance. However if I had to pick something I liked least this would be it.
