BJB properties is generally well managed. I used to live at millennium park plaza in a 3 br. Loved the building it was super updated and safe and great doormen but I didn't like the location -Loop- however it was a great start to Chicago living because I was close to work. The move between BJBroprrty locations was seamless which was a plus and their internet and cable is really nice and cheap and the internet is so fast. 18 E Elm is super old and I get like leaks in the wall sometimes but it's in general fine for a small studio. I LOVE the location in gold coast so that is the trade off. The other apartments on West Elm are closer to some gross bars and I'm happy to be away from that.

Old and not updated. Don't live here if you like to cook

I live in the first floor so it hasn't been pleasant. Not sure how other floors would rate their experience. After a few months I noticed roaches and although the management has been willing and trying to fix the problem, its still disgusting and would never have lived here if I thought this would be a problem. The apartment is badly kept. The floors, bathroom, and fridge are really old. Definitely wouldn't live here long term.
What did you like most?
The management is nice. The neighborhood is awesome. I feel very safe because there's always a lot of people walking around the neighborhood. However, as a parent, this might have not been the best choice because you can hear all the drunk people until 4am on weekends.
What did you like least?
I will never live an old "vintage" building again! It comes with a host of problems in my opinion. I've only been here for 4 months and I've probably put in 25 work orders.
