It's about what I would expect for a tiny one bedroom ground floor apartment in my very modest price range. I hate having to rent. I'd much rather own a small place, which even with insurance, HOA fees, and taxes would be a smaller monthly payment, but I'm a Ph.D student without job security, so it wasn't an option.
What did you like most?
Being on the ground floor and having really convenient/reliable parking makes grocery shopping great. I also like that there are a lot of kids and dogs in my building. It makes it feel like a real community.
What did you like least?
Lack of sun exposure, really ugly outdated kitchen, cockroaches the size of house cats (dead, usually, thanks to the extermination regime), no in-unit washer and dryer or place for hookup, poor ventilation. Being on the ground floor also puts me at risk of robbery.
