On the weekends, residents can be found in one of Berkeley’s 12 dog parks, strolling around its lakes, or grabbing coffee and a workout along Tennyson Street. Charming bungalows sit next to modern condos and townhomes while Berkeley’s main drag boasts a revitalized, industrial feel.

Colorful storefronts harmonize with brick and iron corner stores and outdoor tables are continuously filled with a rotating cast of foodies, caffeine enthusiasts, and remote workers. Berkeley is anything but sleepy. While the actual neighborhood is far removed from anxiety-inducing traffic, crowded sidewalks, and long lines, there’s always something going on in this area.

Local Hangouts

We love Tennyson Street. This long strip hosts farmer’s markets, art walks, street fairs, and more. All in all, the retail stretch is home to 10 breweries and bars, numerous restaurants, jewelry stores, a cat cafe (sip tea while holding adoptable kitties), a pizza place, coffee shops, and more.

Enjoy breakfast at the Cozy Cottage for some Mexican-American fare then head over to this neighborhood's namesake park for some fresh air. This casually cool section offers the perfect locale for Sunday brunch, killing time, or a night on the town.

Things to Know

Parking is limited along Berkeley’s main drag, but ample street parking can be found for those willing to walk a few blocks. This neighborhood is highly walkable, plus, it’s historic Tudors and Denver Squares are just beautiful eye-candy for passersby. Ample public transportation gives commuters quick access to other popular Denver neighborhoods. Hop on the west rail line to reach Denver’s downtown, Coors Field, or the Tech Center in no time.
