Neighborhood Vibe

Vibrant, but relaxed. All walks of life reside in this part of town, so there’s definitely a communal feel. Don’t be surprised if you run into someone you know while out and about! You’ll certainly see a mix of brand-new shops and restaurants that are trendier and more expensive, balanced with Atlanta staples that have a casual, accessible feel. While there’s not a ton of green space outside of Georgia Tech, you’re a stone’s throw from Piedmont Park. With easy access to Midtown, Downtown, and Buckhead, this neighborhood has it all.

Favorite Spots

Home Park is home to some excellent eats— from quaint bakeries and hole-in-the-wall coffee shops to one of the most expensive steaks in Atlanta (find it at Marcel, an opulent French-inspired steakhouse). Westside Provisions District is a must-visit for both shopping and dining— JCT Kitchen and Taqueria del Sol are favorites for a casual meal here. Check out newly-opened sister restaurants Falafel Nation and Aziza for Mediterranean, or Forza Storico for Italian. Grab a pick-me-up at Brash, a coffee shop built out of repurposed shipping containers. Head to Ormsby’s for games and brews, or Little Trouble for futuristic cocktails and small bites in a bar that was inspired by the film Blade Runner! Rooftop patios at O-ku and Six Feet Under provide striking panoramic skyline views that everyone should experience at least once. We think you catch our drift— you’ll find no shortage of amazing dining and drinking options in Home Park!

Things to Know

Since you’re slightly removed from the center of Midtown, but still in a highly desirable area, rent prices in Home Park range from pretty average to a tad above average compared to the rest of Atlanta. While Home Park isn’t as walkable as Midtown, expect just a 5-10 minute drive to Piedmont Park. Be sure to take advantage of specials at bars and restaurants around Georgia Tech— you’ll often find great deals on local comfort food!
