Platt Park Apartments

A neighborhood with a hospitable and small-town vibe, Platt Park is your village away from the buzzing city of Denver.

Cozy · Welcoming · Private · Historic

Looking for a way to carve out a community in this big city? Look no further than Platt Park. This quaint, historic neighborhood feels more like a small town than an urban district. It has summertime farmers’ markets, artisan boutiques, and a charming main drag— Old South Pearl Street. Trolley tracks from days gone by peek their way through the asphalt and homes are mostly quiet bungalows.

This gorgeous, welcoming neighborhood bridges the gap between historical and modern. It has a private feel, yet maintains the convenience of city life. The eccentricity of this area’s boutiques and restaurants are unlike any other neighborhood in Denver. Lively antique shops line the main streets and provide off-beat options for gifts and interior decor. You can’t miss its namesake green space that is one of the best places in Denver to explore during one of the 300+ days of sunshine in the Mile High City.

Neighborhood Vibe

Denver can feel like a big city— especially in the more bustling neighborhoods like LoDo or Uptown— but Platt Park is its own cozy district that will feel like home immediately. At the turn of the 20th century, this neighborhood was its own city, separate from Denver. This gives Platt Park its vintage feel, as most establishments choose to carefully renovate rather than tear down and rebuild. The Virginia Village neighborhood has a similar vibe to this peaceful area.

Favorite Spots

You’ll find locals at Steam Espresso Bar to get their AM caffeine fix before catching one of the many RTD buses that run through the area. Residents cozy up to enjoy delicious gourmet pizza in a little cottage restaurant called Kaos Pizzeria. 5 Green Boxes is a local favorite for finding unconventional rustic gifts and housewares. From June 5th to October 30th, you can sample local produce at South Pearl Street Farmers’ Market.

Things to Know

This neighborhood is primarily made up of antique buildings, single family homes, and small to mid-rise apartment complexes. About 70% of Platt Park residents own their homes, so rental options are less abundant than other Denver neighborhoods. It is also worth noting that Denver University is just a stone's throw away.
